I’ve been a fan of Erik Satie ever since I read that he always wore one of (I think it was) fourteen (but feel free to put me right) identical brown velvet suits. I would do the same if I could, only my colour of choice would be the kind of grey silver goes when it’s been lying in a kitchen drawer for a few years.
I’ve been a fan of The Budapest Café Orchestra since I saw them live, here in Moffat, two or three years ago. I didn’t want the show to end, which is really unusual for me as I hate sitting still for too long.
So here they are combined, in the way strawberries combine with cream, or cold sushi rice combines with toasted sesame oil, a pickled plum, and a dash of soy. Enjoy!
Header image is a painting of Satie by Suzanne Valadon which I got from Wiki Media.
